I have a hotmail account and have been trying to login. Since I forgot my password I tried to reset by answering the secret question. I think I exceeded my no. of tries. Since I had not give an alternate ID, the message appears as "new password sent to ur hotmail account". How am supposed to get the password when I can't login. Please help.

When this happened to me I had to call my Internet carrier on the phone, answer questions and jump through hoops.

I did find it very amusing that (on the phone) I was told the rep would email me a temporary password. Of course, I was calling because I couldn't sign on so what was the point?
