Primer bulb on troy bilt lawnmower is not squirting gas into carbuerator--how to correct?

Likely problems are holes in the primer bulb or the lines leading to it. If this is a diaphram carb, then the diaphram could be shot.

You failed to mention if you can start the engine using carb cleaner.
