I have a 6 foot dirt area between my concrete pool deck and a second slab of cement. I would like to build a wood deck to concrete the two slabs of cement. The only problem is that the second slab is lower than the first.how can I connect the two uneven slabs with the deck

How much lower? 7" to 10" lower would be ideal for a single step.
