Well, clearly you weren't ready for another relationship. How long ago did you & your ex break up?

Rushing into new relationships after heartbreak only kills it. Keep yourself busy & go out with friends. Join a book club, ski club, or whatever kind of hobbies you have club. Work out. If you find yourself thinking about her, consciously divert your thoughts to something else. In time, you'll feel your heart healing.

And anyway, you should enjoy your age & develop friendships. There is plenty of time in college & in the rest of life to pursue relationships with others.
