I had someone ask me today how to replace a 3-wire condenser fan motor with a 4-wire motor. He said there was not a 3-wire connection diagram on the motor. I told him to just use a new capacitor and wire it with all 4 wires. But my question is; Can any 4-wire motor be wired with the 3-wire connection or only ones that are specified to connect both ways?
