    CPA exam IT Auditing question
It is a multiple choice but I can't find the answer anywhere and I've looked all over the internet. Here it is:

An inexperienced computer operator mounted an incorrect version of the accounts receivable master file on a tape drive during processing. Because of this error, the entire processing run had to be repeated at a significant cost. Which of the following controls would be most effective in preventing this type of operator error from affecting the processing of files?

    a. Data transmission check
    b. File header label check
    c. Memory isolation
    d. Frequent changes to logon passwords

My best guess right now is b, file header label, which is defined on the internet as, "A block of data at the beginning of a magnetic tape file containing descriptive information to identify the file. Also known as header."

I know d isn't right because it wouldn't make sense.

I think c might be a good guess too though. I found the definition for memory protection , which might be the same thing as memory isolation. The definition is:"A technique that prohibits one program from accidentally clobbering another active program. Using various different techniques, a protective boundary is created around the program, and instructions within the program are prohibited from referencing data outside of that boundary."

And a, data transmission check, I'm not sure what that is, I can only find what data transmission is but not data transmission check.

Does anyone have any input on this question? Do you think b is the correct answer?

They're expecting you to know computer junk for the CPA exam now? Wow.

I can only say that I agree it wouldn't be D.

Honestly, my suggestion would be to post this, or a link to this thread, over in the computer area.
