I have a Bryant plus 90 furnace, circa 1988, which has given us superb service and seems to be good for the long haul. I have a friend who just switched out his Carrier Puron, 2 ton, 13 SEER, Air source heat pump Model# 38YXA024301 with a ground source heat pump. Could they be married? Or would I need to buy a new furnace from Carrier to match the heat pump? He has the a coil and thermostat that matched the system.
