    Salt and pepper shakers
How many holes does the salt shaker have? How many hole for the pepper shaker?

    Hi Wendy,
It depends on the shakers. Sometimes they have the same amount of holes (about six maybe), and sometimes the salt shaker only has one. Typically, the salt shaker is the one with less holes, as you don't want to oversalt your food.
    Take care. :)

Very true response on the prior answer... I always thought that the difference was the size of the holes... the smaller ones being for the salt for the same reason, you don't want to over salt your food.

You need many holes on the pepper shaker as often it is more dusty, and doesn't come out as fast as the salt, which "pours" much more easily

This has some information, but I don't think there is a defined model for these :)

As a lover of pepper, it bothers me to have small holes and large pepper. I'll take the top off if I have to. However, just to be safe with the salt, I like to sprinke a tad in my hand to see how fast ir comes out. But I do believe the salt shaker has more holes, since I've just gone out to look.
