1993 Astro Conversion Van Electronic Window
Hey there guys and gals! As the tile states, I have a '93" model Chevy Astro conversion van with window issues. Without thinking about the issue regarding the window ran out and bought a brand new motor and installed it. That was rough but fun in many ways. I was able to re-install everything with the new motor. Sad thing is the window still does not work. I'm fairly sure it's a short or issue with the wiring. But could use some pointers on what to look for? And what not to look for? The window will work once in a blue moon from the drivers side. Never did manage to get the window to work from the passenger side however. I have had the van for a little over a year now. Great little van for what i gave for it. Just need to get the issues it does have worked out. And have no clue about how to run down shorts in wiring harnesses. Thanks in advance for any and all advice or help you can provide!

Check all under hood and under dash fuses with a test light or multimeter:

Start testing for power, along the circuit, with a test light or multimeter. Check continuity on switches.

For the passenger side to work, make sure the "Window lock" control is off.

My Make and Model of van does not have a "lock" switch. Just a plain jane electronic switch for up and down. Thanks for the idea however. I did manage to get it to work for about 30 minutes a few weeks back. Don't have a lot of time to tinker with it through the week. Why I am positive it is a short in the wiring. Will be going through the various suggestions and trying to fix this problem as soon as possible! Thanks you guys your thoughts and ideas! Very much apperciated!

The Window lock switch is on the drivers side. It prevents all windows but the driver's side from working. It's part of child safety.
