I am an authorized occupant in a home that belongs to my brother in law. Up until Jan 26, th 2010 I also worked for him and my sister. But you are a tenant. Whether there is a written agreement or not. Therefor you have all the rights of a tenant. If you can't pay the rent he can evict you, but he has to do so according to local law.
