I connected a 110V cordless telephone to 220V power point. What will happen to my telephone insruments. Will get burnt. Or can we use the instrument?

It will go "Poof" and you will let out all of the magic smoke. Once the smoke leaves, the unit will not function.

If you are real lucky, transformer will blow out before the phone.
