E-350 6.0powerstroke egr valve replacement instructions
I have a 2004 E350 superduty w-6.0 powerstroke I had the egr valve replaced 1yr ago. Im experiencing the same problems. Veh will idle very rough and has stalled while driving. Should I replace again or clean? I would like to perform this task myself. Egr is not easily accessible in a E350. Im looking for instruction to perform this. Also suggestions on how to keep this from happening again.

I'd like to ask a few questions:

Is their any relationship at all with the rough idle?

For instance, it will occur when I've driven the car and it reached operating temperature and then the car sits for between x and y minutes. When I re-enter my vehicle, the idle speed is rough?

Are there any solenoids connected to the EGR valve? Is it located in a "Hot" spot.

The EGR is an easy replacement based on accessability, but it should not be that frequent.

I think I replaced one on a carburated car once on 238K miles and 18 years.
