How to connect a alternator for a tractor
Mechanically or electrically?
I was hoping you would elaborate. My mistake for not asking for more detail.
Ae you trying to add an alternator or replace one?
I think this may be better answered by someone over at Small Tools or Lawn Equipment, not here, where we typically answer questions about building wiring.
I want to replace a generator with an alternator to an old tractor and I need to
Hokup the wire of the alternator .Tank You
For the help.Bugi..

I'm not sure if Cars and Trucks would be more appropriate, depands on the tractor, I guess. There are lawn tractors and farming tractors. Let's try here, if no response someone else who can, can move it.
Hi,
Nice link KISS! The one question unasked is this generator also your starter?
Peace,
Clarke
Thanks Kiss, yea Kiss knows all the back roads of the internet, down in the capillary veins, so to speak.
Thanks tk. I do have the habit of finding the obscure. Even if it's to prove a point.
tk: There's a few links in Electrical Engineering that could use some input.
To everyone:
The link in post 7: I don't like the fact that there is no place on the schematic for a fusible link/fuse between the output of the alternator and the battery. Something like 30-40 Amps, I suppose. Other than that, looks like a car problem.
