    Flames work, No Heat
We purchased our fireplace 2 years ago. Used it 3 times that year and then shut it off. Turned it on last year (after warranty was up)and only the flames worked, no heat or fan. Called the 1-800 # to see about getting a parts schematic to replace any parts I needed and they told me they quit selling them and have no schematics or any other information on them. Does anybody have any idea where I might find a parts/wiring schematic for it. It is a Model; FL23-R.
We paid over $300.00 for it and to use only three times, that's pretty bad and I told the company that it was a piece of garbage. Their response, Oh Well. We don't want to throw it away, it is a nice looking fireplace and the flames still work, but it's going to cost me $50.00 just to have an appliance man look at it and tell me what's wrong with it.
I've been a maintenance man most of my life, so if I can find a parts schematic I may be able to repair it myself. I would appreciate any and all help.
    Thanks,
    Sam

No fuse? Look for a break in the element, or a loose connection. Where did you buy it? You gave a model number, but who makes it? A little more info and some of us may be able to help you.

Try Electric Fireplaces Direct. Com. I believe this is a Dimplex fireplace. You should be able to find the information on that site.
