I exchanged a 3 prong to a 4 prong on my dryer and am not sure how to ground it, if I touch the washer and dryer at the same time I get shocked-maybe pretty dangerous to my health? thanks laura

Your post is confusing. Can't determine from your post if your outlet is 4 prong or 3 or the dryer is 4 prong or 3.

A 3 prong outlet contains a ground and the "bonding jumper" in the above link should stay in place.
If you have a 4 prong outlet, the bonding jumper should be removed and green should be attached to the green screw.
Neutral should go to the terminal opposite of the grounding screw.
