I have a 95 civic ex coupe, I got gave to me. Tha guy I got it from said it overheated. So I I got it to tha house and went over everything . Pulled tha head, put new head gasket, new plugs, new wires, new distrib, cap, rotar, and timing belt. Set tha timing to tha T. Drove the car for about 5 days. I desided to run a compression test, and it turned out to be great for as old as tha motor is.finished tha test , now tha car will NOT start. Im get power to tha distrib. Everything in tha distrib is getting power. I've ran out of things to try. I've got online and posted this on every web site I can find and no one can help me.CAN SUMONE PLEASE HELP ME OUT. Im getn to tha point to just pull tha whole motor and buy a k20

It ran great, you did a compression test, now it doesn't start?

*Something* you did during that test must be the cause.

I assume you disabled the ignition somehow during testing so it wouldn't fire.

Are you SURE you put the plug wires back in the right order?

Does it give any signs of life when you crank?

Have you checked the distributor wires with an ohmmeter? Or the coil? Maybe a connection came loose internally.

But what could it b, I've already changed everything I could think of. Yes I put tha wires back right.its getn fuel but no fire. Im getn power all tha way up to the distrib cap but I'm not get power to tha cap. There is a little spring that connects tha 2 together. I've ran a ohm test on tha plug wires, I've ran a test on tha ignition coil, and the igniter unit. I went and bought a chilton book for tha car and done every diagnosis there is and everything comes out good. So I don't know. The only other thing I could think of doing , is going to a junk yard and getn a distrib off a wrecked car

What is tha sticky

Bench testing ICMs and coils is virtually useless. I would replace both of these problematic components:

There's an excellent chance this will solve your problem. If you get the parts, you could have your car back on the road in 45 minutes or less.
