    Controlling a Evap Cooler
    Hey Guys,
I was just wanting to know I have a brivis evap cooler and I'm putting a Smart Temp "elegance" controller in to control my gas ducted heating, however I just wanted to know how to control my evap cooling. Obviously I could switch relay to put 240v to the pump and fan to bring them on but on the brivis controller its got a wheel that changes the speed of the fan a bit like a VSD (im sure you know the controllers I'm talking about) just wondering if its possible to control the fan through the contacts of a relay and still have lo, med and hi settings.
    Any info would heap.
    Thanks

Read under installer adjustable parameters. How you actually hook it up will be up to you or a knowledgeable HVAC person.

hvac1000 thanks for the reply however it is not the setting up of the controller that I'm having problems with it's the actual hooking up like you said, I just want to know whether I can somehow use the figure 8 cable that's going to the old evap cooling thermostat or do I have to run cables and use replays to bring to the fan and pump on

I am sure you can reuse the cable but I am not familiar with the wiring that is why I referred you to a professional in your area by saying.

How you actually hook it up will be up to you or a knowledgeable HVAC person.

If I do not know how to hook up what you want to do I cannot tell you. Sorry
