    Toilet on floor drain
I live in an older house with a floor drain in the basement. I want to put a bathroom in the basement. Can I use the floor drain plumbing to install a toilet? furbishk

No, The 2" drain line from the floor drain isn't big enough to accommodate a toilets discharge. You will need at least a 3" branch to tie to. However, if you click on; http://www.saniflo.co.uk/ or the banner ad on top of this post you will see that there is a option open to discharge a toilet into a 2" line. Good luck, Tom
