Water Pressure Disappears
I have a recent problem where my water pressure disappears if I use more than one thing that requires water. If I flush a toilet, my faucet and shower pressure disappear until the toilet fills again. If I use 2 faucets, then the pressure lowers in each. I have had 4 plumbers come and look at it. 2 have said that it's my shut off valve (gate valve) because they hear some noise where the valve is in my garage. My shut off valve does not work, but it has not worked since I moved here 3 years ago, so I don't understand why this would cause problems now? The shut off valve is in my garage wall, so I'm hesitant to have it fixed if we're not 100% sure it's the problem? Another plumber said that it's some problem with my manifold box (I have plex piping) and not my shut off valve. The last plumber said the city must have decreased my water or diverted it to other sources, even though he measures the psi at 50. Any opinions/insight would be greatly appreciated, thanks.
