Hi my name is DAR... my questionhs is... my nephew is 17 and 6 ft 4 inches and thin, broke his collar bone was given percasets, then three weeks later had his tonsils out was also given percasets (liquid roxiset) and I am worried about the length of time he has been on this and him taking it, he is very thin and very pastey looking and I am worried about this, the doctors perscribed this and my concern is the length of time he is being on it its been like 5 weeks straight now, how is this going to effect him, can he be addicted?

Im not a Dr but My wife had neck surgery a few years ago and she was on percocet. Her Dr was basically giving her 60 a week This went one for about 3 months. After the Dr took her off she was fine. She is much shorter then your nephew and she was 21 at the time. No withdrawal or anything like that. I am sure there are RN's on here who could give you more insight. But that is my experience.
