My computer did some updates a couple days ago and since then internet explorer will not stay up it closes down. I cannot download anything to find out what is wrong. Any suggestions? Please help. Thank you

Scan for a virus using MalwareBytes:

Malwarebytes.org

You may have to download it from another computer and transport it to the computer in question using a USB Flash Drive.

Malwarebytes is a good program and am sure it will find something


Also try and reset IE defaults

-Click on tools, internet options, adv tab
-Scroll to bottom and click Reset Defaults

Close and restart IE

Thanks so far I have restored the computer and have the internet working. What happens it tries to open then just closes down. But will try what you are telling me to do

Thanks will try this after I have done the system restored:)

You can uninstall and then reinstall IE just to see if there was a problem during the installation.
