Can I sue for water damage
Can I sue my landlord for water damages done to my bedroom in my apartment since it been happening for over a year and no one will let me buy renters insurance because my case is high risk.

Here is a web site that provides a list of states (in the U.S.) and by
Clicking the state you live in, you'll get a better idea of the laws
Governing Tenant Rights where you live.

    Tenant Rights - HUD

Generally, you can only sue if you suffer damage to your personal
Property, and if you are renting, the ceiling is not literally your property.
However, it does create unpleasant living conditions, and possibly
Unhealthy ones as well, if molds develop from the permeating
    Dampness.

Which the LL very well might have an obligation to fix.
