New wiring r-r; g-g; the w wire and y are where my problem is, does the w go to w and y and the y go too/b/

Make and model of old and new tstat and heat pump, please.

The old one is a honeywell round one with numbers on the inside of q539a1014 with 9043 below it. The new one is a rth6400 by honeywell.

Here's how I understand your wire map. Please correct or confirm.

q539a1014 terminal -> wire color
