Wheres tha main relay on an 87 honda accord
I have been having no and slow start probs with my honda for 6 years now. I want to replace the main relay since that seems to be a good possibility but I can't find it. Nothing I have read or seen on the internet will give me a clue as to where it is on my car. The pictures I have seen obviously aren't made for people who are not car saavy. Thanks in advance for your help.

. Left kick panel, just above hood release. Also, if you turn the ignition switch on and off, it will help you locate the main relay by hearing and feeling it click.

. If the Check Engine Light comes on and goes off in 2 seconds, when the ignition switch is turned to ON, and you can hear the main relay click during this interval, the main relay, ECM, fuses, and ignition switch are likely fine. I would replace the Ignition Control Module (ICM) and coil:

ICMs and coils should be replaced every 120,000 miles or 10 years, whichever comes first. These are the two most problematic components on this generation Honda. Heat destroys them, over time.

. I would also replace the spark plugs (NGK only), with the exact ones that came in the car, and change the fuel filter.
