Frost in the interior wall- brand new home
    Dear All,
There is approximatelly 6 months that I moved to a new home, this is our first winter. This weekend the temperature were very low and a lot of wind. We notice that in the bedroom wall (facing the wind direction-front of the house) formed frost in the corners, along all baseboard/floor junction, and ice around the window. I appreciate if someone could explain what is happening, and what is the posisble solution. All other rooms are fine and all other windows have minimal froost. We also have a lot of wind coming towards the side of the house and all walls are fine. Please advice!
    Thank you!

If the inside wall is getting cold enough that the warm air is causing frost... it sounds like you have an insulation problem in that one area.

The windows getting frost is most commonly cause by cold air leaking in. if the are vinyl "newer" windows, then I would say the seals are broken in between...

Probably no insulation under the floor by the wall.

Are you on a concrete slab house? Is this the first floor second floor? Is there a crawl space under this room? No mater what start searching, See if you can get under the floor and look for insulation in that floor area If its has a basement or your on the second floor than the "floor insulation is not a factor unless your full basement freezes". Not knowing what you have, I would feel if there is air coming out of an outlet. I would look with a flashlight In the outlet. Then I would take a utility knife knife along the top of baseboard meeting the drywall to cut the paint so you can pop the base trim. I would not stop until I can SEE in the wall cavity for insulation. I would also think a sill plate was forgotten when it was framed (Very Important and forgotten a lot ) Between ice around the window and the floor two places that builder got sloppy. Iam a builder and hear I am yelling at one I would not stop until I solve it. I personally would pop a hole in the wall by the widow or pop the trim. Then when I go the builder when I have the evidence in hand and He can't smooth you off. Think of the MOLD next. This is very serious to say the least.
