    Seaming a refrigerator gasket
Got a piece of continuous length refrigerator gasket. This is one of those refrigerators with an internal door for the freezer at the top. It also latches. Antique. The gasket does not include a magnet.

    1. Where is the best place to seam? I'm thinking lower left hand side near the bottom, maybe 12" up.

    2. How to seam? I'm thinking a diagonal.

    Make sense?

Cold air falls to the bottom. Try near the top corner or where the original was welded or put together. I still have a Crosley Shelva-Door.

They seemed it at the bottom middle with a straight cut.

The corners are cut. Solid around the outer edge, but not thermo-welded.
