    95 civicEX rough idle,surge,stall
I have been looking everywhere trying everything to figure this one out. It will start idle will surge warm or cold then it will sometimes almost stall (the lights dim). Besides idle it runs perfectly no miss nothing.

/ Here's what I have checked, tried, replaced.
New fuel filter//airfilter//ignition coil (was bad when bought)//IACV(old one checked out good and I cleaned)//put back on time and checked//set idle like 20 times to spec then higher to stop diming of lights//checked all vacum hoses carb cleaner//cleaned TB//old header with old o2//lastly not one check engine light even when it just stalls and dies.

I just have no idea now, any input would be helpful I'm starting to thing it's a honda thing. One more thing does Autozone test (ICM) for sure I work at ADV.auto we don't

Old cars had spring type a coil that set the idle on the carb. I am sure that you are fuel injected but have a mechanical throttle not all computer... some place

Replacing the ICM should solve the problem:

Most AutoZone stores can bench test ICMs. However, I place little faith in the process, based on experience. It's best to replace this problematic component every 120,000 miles or 10 years, whichever comes first. Your car's symptoms are classic signs that the ICM is failing.
