I have a grandson, age 6, who has De George Syndrome. He has had heart surgery (before age 1). He has started school this year and is having problems with constant infections. Any ideas about how to combat the situation?

Caroline, I had trouble finding information on your query because the name of the disease is actually diGeorges Syndrome and there is quite a bit on Google regarding symptoms/treatment etc. It actually occurs because these children are missing the 22 chromosone.
