In up state New York. What is the going prise to paint new sheetrock, one coat.per sq foot

In in the northern part of New York State, I would expect that the prices would be about twice what they are around where I am. So, I think that $1.80 to $2.00 per square foot including the cost of the paint might be fair figures to use. That would be for two coats of paint applied with a roller. If your painting on bare Sheetrock, then you'll need to apply a primer. I would add another $1.50 per square foot for that for one coat of primer applied with a roller.

You'll need at least two coats of paint for a top coat for the job to look decent. When cutting in the edges with a brush or appropriate applicator, then ideally, two people should be doing the job so that lines aren't visible. One person does the cutting in while the other one does the rolling immediately after the cutting in is done.
