Old shower pan installation
About a year ago I removed the shower pan from my bathroom upstairs and replaced it with a new one. The gasket around the drain pipe was rubber that I had to drill through a number of times in order to remove . It appeared to have been something that was originally a liquid poured in and then solidified. Could that be the case. I want to use it in the bathroom I am installing in the basement and it doesn't accommodate the normal attachment that is put on the drain beneath the pan and then tightened from the top to seal the drain around the pan. Am I correct in thinking that this type of pan had liquid rubber of some type and is it something I can still find?
