If width = X, the length = X + 2
Use that.

Area = Length x Breadth
Perimeter = 2(Length + Breadth)
Then to help you, a sketch is always welcomed. Once you got the trend, you will be able to picture it in your mind and do it quicker. Then, you'll be able to do it even faster! Without any picture.
