    Furnace Not running
    Hello:

I have a Armstrong Air Ultra 5 Tex80 Furnace HoneyWell Gas Valve SV9520H8034
Ultra V Tech 80 Armstrong Air Mack GIN80AT075D12A-1 Serial #1602L21430

It has a smartVlave on it as well.

I can't get it to start. The thermostats has been changed on it and I have jumped out R and W on the control Panel board to see if the blower on top of the smart ysytem would start, Nothing / I have 24 volts to the control baord and the A/C works fine Just can't get the fan blower or whatever you call it on top of Smart Valve to start which I believe cleans out the chamber of any fumes.

I Hooked up 110 volts to the fan Blower to see it it works and it does ! I would be mostly grateful if someone can help me here with this Driving me crazy

    Terry:confused:

There have been many problems with the smart valve especially at the connections. Call for ON SITE SERVICE for your unit so you do not cause any further damage or get hurt in the process.

If you jumped rw and nothing happened, and you put 120 straight to the blower and it worked, I would think your control board was bad. Is there anything between your blower and board (wiring wise?)

I checked the voltage to the Smartvalve and there was voltage can't remember what it was ! But the smartvalve has 3 connections on it plugin's that is. The blower wires go into the Samrtvalve blue cover I have voltage on the control board in fact the A/C is workign fine off the control board I got voltage 24 volts on the letter ( R ) So I jumped it from are to w But nothing when on . Could it be the samrtvalve Just asking

Thanks so much for helping me Wish I could send you a picture of it I have ONE too

    Ok HVAC guy

Thank you for your answer. If the smartvalve wasnt' so expensive I would change both (SMARTVALVE and the control board.

This is my last question if you can answer it If you jump out the ( R and W) what should come on the INDUCTION BLOWER. Cause I did that and nothing happened But If I jump out the (R and W) I get the A/c to work. That part of the Heating and A/C are workign fine through the thermostat THANK GOD! But nothing to the heat. If jumping out the (R and W) don't work wouldnt' thatbe the control board Cause if the control board isn't workign It can't send a signal to the smartvalve right

Just asking You know more about this then I do and I am just trying to fix it and alos I live like 37 miles one way to any store. And here in Oklahoma You can't seem to find a dealer for this burner Armstrong Air Ultra 5 Tex 80. So anythign you give me is a plus AMEN

    Thanks again !

Under normal circumstances when you jump R and W at the thermostat level the heat will come on. Now usually the draft motor will activate first if the unit is so equipped then it will proceed through the rest of the burner cycle.

BTW Armstrong is somewhat of a common unit but not as popular as Goodman,Trane, etc.

Honeywell has had problems and so has Armstrong with condensation getting onto the valve.
