Furnace motor turns on and off
I have a 4 year old Carrier furnace the motor turns on and off within minutes or even seconds From time to time with no air blowing, this also happens even if I have the thermostat in the off position.
    Thanks.

Is this a heat pump? I am assuming you mean the fan motor is what is running.

Is there a high temp switch on the supply plenum that is calling the fan as if it is sensing an overheating condition? This could be faulty. Many furnaces have one of them for safety. That's my first guess. Or a bad control board. The duct purge control could be doing that, but that would be odd.
