Service to garage without remote disconnect
Service to detached garage : starting at newly installed meter adjacent to existing house meter,3 2/0 copper conductors through 2" pvc conduit underground, to 200 AMP interior distribution panel in garage, approx. 60' run. Ground rod and #6 copper solid, adjacent to garage panel, same ground set-up at meter, plus grounded to house copper plumbing. Garage plumbing is all plastic. My question; with the above set-up does the neutral and ground in the garage panel stay bonded together. This is how the electrician did it, explaining that having/ not having disconnect at meter determines neutral/ ground bond. Does this sound correct? He energized it to check it, then blocked meter connection at socket to safe it till I call utility to initiate service.
