It stands for Program Fuel Injection. It's not uncommon for the PGM-FI Main Relay to go bad on older Hondas. Over time, cold solder joints develop in the relay's printed circuit board. After checking for any codes, that's what I would focus on first.
Thank you txgreasemonkey that's what I have been trying to tell my ol man who won't listen. One more question? If I don't replace the relay will it screw me up in time or make my car have a ticking sounding different from oil or rod knocking noiseQuote:

If your car starts okay, you can hear the fuel pump run, and it doesn't cut out on you when it get warm outside, then the main relay is likely fine.
