Not much you can do unless you have a court order stating otherwise...
Is there anything in your order that states he must keep you up to date on the daily activities and/or well being of your son?
He must keep you imformed of all major decisions concerning kids.take him to court get it changedor explain to court why no contact.
How often is your visitation?
No the custody case just started it says I have legal rights n I retain my parental rightsQuote:

First, it highly unusual for a father to get primary physical custody of a 5 month old. So I suspect there is more to this story.
Unless the court order states that you are entitled to daily updates he can ignore your calls.
