    Priming my sprinkler pump
Hello I am Joel Anderson and I use a well only to irrigate my yard.Ok it has not rained in quite some time. For this area we are only approx. 6 inches below for this time of year.I noticed that 1 week ago when my pump was running at the same time as my neighbors. My sprinklers was not spraying as far as normal. So I changed the time frame.that helped a lot and back to normal. That lasted for about one week. Then it stopped spraying. Now I have no water so I turned off the pump.I can still hear the pump opperating now.So it is not burnt up.So now I would like to find out on how to prime the system. We have gotten about2" of rain since it stopped rainning. And we are going to get a lot of rain in this week forcast. So I do want to try and take care of this by the next weekend. So please let me know the procedure. I do not have a self priming pump.So now I am lost.Thank you guys for being there for me.Hope to hear from you soon.

Look on the top of the impeller cage and see a 1/4" plug, or it might be a gage.
Remove it and pour wateri it until it overflows. Now replace the plug/gage and start the pump. If you can't fill the impeller cage up then you have a faulty check/foot valve. Good luck, Tom
