After I turn on my computer, I get online, the monitor shows black streaks, then monitor goes to sleep mode. Sent to troubleshooting it says error message; stop 0x000000ea thread_stuck_in_device_driver(q293078). Something about need updated device drive for video card. Does anyone know what this all means, and how to correct or fix this problem? :eek:

You can try manually updating the driver for your graphics card, make sure you're connected to the internet before proceeding:

Right-click on the MY COMPUTER icon on your desktop
Select PROPERTIES > HARDWARE Tab > DEVICE MANAGER
Click the + next to DISPLAY ADAPTER
Double click your adapter (or the first item in the list if multiples appear)
Click DRIVER > UPDATE DRIVER > choose (Automatic)
Let it go through its process.
Repeat for any other Adapters that were listed
Reboot

If no improvement, post your adapter details here and we'll see what we can find for you.

Funny, while verifying my steps worked, I did an internet search for updated drivers for MY video card. The "update driver" didn't download new ones, but I found ones 2 years newer on the manufacturers own website.

Go figure.
