cracked compression nut on wall sink value
While changing the wall sink valve, one value started leaking. Determined that the brass compression nut was cracked and the value was leaking. How do I get the compresison nut off and a new one on?

    Hi jaxboy:

You probably need to purchase a combination handlepuller/compression nut remover tool... see pic.

Do not purchase JUST a handle puller... will not do the job! Must be a combo. Puller.

Basically, the ears fit behind the nut, and the tip fits over/into copper pipe, then twist handle and should pull the sleeve off.

These tools are available at all home supply stores.

    Good luck... MARK
