    Bare ground in box
Quick question... When one is running the ground out of a sub panel to the ground rod, does it matter if the bare ground wire is touching the panel box?

Some have told me that it does matter if the bare copper ground is touching the panel box . But I ask them how hell your suppose to run the gnd wire and have it NOT touch the punch outs? I installed it by just knocking out a small knock out plate and running it out the bottom that way. Makes no sense to me that this will hurt anything.

Are they right? OR is this just a wasted post because I know better!

Pretty much. It was the same guy that told me I could put my Neutral and Gnd on the same buss in the sub panel. SOOO I should have known. Tried to tell him that the equipment gnd was bonded to the panel, so why would it hurt for the wire to touch. Made no sense to ME!
