Hello,I am changing a motor on a older ford riding lawn mower,It is a 16 hp twin and I'm putting a newer 16 hp twin on it(both briggs) The newer one has a fuel solenoid and the older doesn't ,I am wondering where do I have to tie in the solenoid too? The newer motor also has a govener the older doesn't ,does it matter? I can supply both engine#'s if someone needs them for reference
    New motor model -303777
    Type -0332-01
    Code -92061611
    (other #) -1880

    Old motor
    Model-402707
    Type -0138-01
    Code- 83120712

Patience is of the virtue. There are a lot of questions to be answered daily or as soon as we can in our "spare" time.

Now then, the best solution for you is to remove the fuel solenoid and replace it with the bolt from the other carb if it will fit. And see if the engine will run without the fuel solenoid.

Actually in case anyone runs across a similar problem or wants to bypass the solenoid.I drilled the movable plunger out so it does not shut off the fuel.
