    prove (1+tanx)/(sinx+cosx) = secx

    SirOracle
    well, to separate it out:

    1 + tanx = 1 + sinx/cosx = cosx/cosx + sinx/cosx = (cosx + sinx)/cosx

so when this is divided by (sinx + cosx), the numerator cancels, leaving:

    1/cosx = secx
