    Clicking thermostat for heat pump
We built a new house this past August. In our bedroom they placed a honeywell thermostat for a heat pump that heat the top level of the home. It makes a loud click when it turns on and then another as it seems to turn the one cycle. It is so loud (granted I am a light sleeper) but it wakes me up all night long. I have heard that all heat pump thermostats make a loud click, is it true? How hard would it be to move this thermostat say to the hallway?

Wouldn`t be that hard, but where-ever you move it its going to operate according to the temperature of that area, just keep in mind, and also needs to be in the area where a return air vent is within 10 feet,, goodluck,, I`ve not heard of any complaints about thermostats being that loud, most make hardly no sound at all.
