First off I have 3 heating zones in my home, gas fired boiler and hot water baseboard. My issue is two fold.
1st issue... thermostats work fine on both floors and with that in mind I keep the temp set at 72 on the first floor and for some reason this heats the baseboards on the second floor as well and I cannot figure out why this is happening I keep the thermostat on floor 2 off because of this, and if I do kick on the thermostat on floor 2 it becomes unbearable. Any reason why this is happening?
2nd issue... sort of the same as the first, I finished off my basement and added a new digital thermostat in the basement and I cannot use this one in the basement because it make the second floor unbearable.
Any info you could provide would be greatly appreciated, as I am on the verge of having the entire rewired in the fear that the zones are wired incorrectly.
Is this a common issue
