I have a Sears garage door opener and it has a RED led on the top used for setting the remote codes. For about two months now that RED led will flash 5 times and then go off for a minute and then flash again 5 more times and continually will do this. Can anyone answer what this code means, I have had this opener for over 5 years and this LED flashing continually just started.

Press and release the learn button. This turns the receiver on for 30 seconds. Within this 30 second period, you must enter your new 4 digit PIN into the keypad and hold the enter button for 5 seconds. When the keypad stops blinking, check your new code
