x__x I am sorry, but I do not know the answer. But, even if I did, I think the rules are that no one is just going to give you the answer and do the work for you. You have to at least TRY to figure it out for yourself... : P
Magnesium nitride reacts with water to produce magnesium hydroxide according to the following balanced equation: Mg2N2+6H2O=3Mg(OH)2 + 2NH3, How many grams of magnesium hydroxide can be produced from 200 grams of magnesium nitride.
You can look up all of these on the Internet. Just Google "Iron(II) oxide", "aluminum fluorate", "tin(IV) bromide", and "potassium chloride"Quote:

The other way to do it is to use a periodic table to figure out the valences of the species involved. For example, if someone said "sodium chloride, Na2Cl2", I would look at the periodic table. Chloride is Cl-, Sodium is Na+. I would expect the formula to be NaCl. However, there's always the possibility of a dimer (two molecules merging to form 1). The question I would have to answer is whether this is possible or whether it makes sense.
You should know what are the 'functional group's' formulae, like chlorides being -Cl, carbonates -CO3 and so on.
Then, you have to know how to find the formulae of compounds given their valencies. These valencies, you'll have to learn I'm afraid. Try doing your question, and post your opinion and your explanation why you chose so and so. I'll help wherever you are stuck. :)
