How much pet security deposit can a landlord legally ask for in NJ?
Whatever they want - same as security. It's usually one or two months but it is at the landlord's discretion.Quote:

Some owners here in Bismarck charge $400.00 per pet. The units where I live it is $200.00 per pet but what no where comes near the cost of replacing a torn or urine soaked carpet. More and more it is getting to where owners/landlords are not accepting pets like dogs and cats.
