Cholesterol, Antioxidants and your health...
Strong antioxidants can help individuals with high cholesterol by preventing the "bad cholesterol" from turning into a nasty plaque which will eventually blocks the arteries, while simultaneously supporting the good cholesterol thus "keeping the pipes clean".
My father recently had his cholesterol checked (its 260) thus I have been doing a ton of research on this. I have recommended him to:
- do daily exercise (he walks, rides bikes at the gym) & and striving to hit the 1 hour mark.
- cut all fat foods from his diet,
- start drinking POM juice (http://www.pomwonderful.com/) this is good stuff a bit more expensive than regular juice but well worth it, it works at supporting you're cardiovascular system.
- Up his antioxidant level! Eat as much fruit as possible and take Proleva (http://www.proleva.com)
Andy, after reviewing your post and looking at that protandim site the only thing I can think is that, that product has a lot of weird ingredients in it, things we're not used to eating on a regular basis - maybe your having a adverse reaction to something in it... I have not tried the product and don't want to speak poorly of it, but that's the first thing that came to my mind.
Let me know if anyone has any other tips I can forward to my father.
