Wall around boiler in basement addition
    Hello all!

My name is Jim, and I would like to "box in" the heater (gas boiler) and gas HWH in my basement.

My question is clearance. How close to a gas boiler should I be for safety.

The "wall" will have two large removable panels to allow for access. The "boxed in" room will be fully vented for airflow.

    Thanks,

    Jim

JIMBO - IF it was me I would leave at least 12" to 18 " space between the wall and hot water tank . IA'm glad you are going to make it a vented room , Being a GAS boiler I think you need to check to see what restrictions they. Please remember that gas fumes do rise up ward stay safe::::
