Depends on where you are located. In some areas, debt is attributable to both spouses.

I am not sure how your state handles it but in the state of Texas, it depends on when the credit card was established. If you got the credit card and started charging on it during the marriage, it is considered community debt and will be split between the two parties regardless if the other spouse was a co-signer or not.
Yes... if you live in a "Community Property" State.
Each spouse is responsible for the others debts, even if your name is not on the purchase.
